As part of this evening’s celebration, we are deeply honoured to present two original pieces created by a burgeoning young artist.

These artworks are to be auctioned in recognition of the often unseen work undertaken in the protection, ongoing care and advocacy of horses in vulnerable circumstances. Olivia Lyon’s extraordinary eye for detail and instinct has brought these works to life with remarkable feeling and sensitivity.

The proceeds from these pieces will be shared between the artist herself, the Highveld and Coastal Horse Care Units. Both organisations work tirelessly, often quietly and without fanfare, to protect, rehabilitate and advocate for horses in desperate need. It feels especially fitting, on an evening devoted to horses and the people who love them, to extend that circle of care a little wider.

Tonight, these pieces represent more than art alone.

About The Artist:

Olivia is a gifted emerging creative whose work carries a remarkable sensitivity for the horse; not simply their form, but their presence too. Having ridden to junior open level herself, her understanding of the horse comes from lived experience, something quietly evident in the feeling and authenticity of each piece she creates.

It feels especially meaningful to now showcase her work within a setting shaped by the same world that inspired it.
