Overview 

As is our legacy, Callaho Auction’s seldom end quietly. Legolas is perfectly suited to take the final bow, not only to conclude this collection, but especially so to receive a standing ovation on behalf of his now retired mother, Callaho’s Alcheme; he being her last foal ever to be offered for sale.

A DIRECT son out of unquestionably our most precious foundation mare, a Lissabon nogal, there is nothing that words can add what history has not already revealed.

So, no more words. Just look at his scorecard. Then his pedigree…NINE out of 10 of the mares descended from Alcheme are in Callaho’s breeding program. ‘Nuff said.

Veterinary Findings

RADIOGRAPHIC FINDINGS: Category C 

Left hind apical sesamoid chip fracture. In the absence of any clinical signs- joint effusion, pain on flexion or lameness, this could be left alone. Removal may be unnecessary if there is no lameness or local response in the sesamoid or suspensory ligament. Should it cause a problem at a future date, it could be removed arthrosopically.

 

Classification of Findings

• CATEGORY A: No significant radiological pathology noted.
• CATEGORY B: Radiographic pathology present - of uncertain significance.
• CATEGORY C: Radiographic pathology present - amenable to surgical intervention or medical management.
• CATEGORY D: Significant pathology present - not suitable as a sport horse.
